Private Investi-Gator

This was a collaberation with character artist Giorgio Di Santi. This really fun project allowed me to put my own spin on his incredible design and gave me the oppertunity to dive into Marvelous Designer deaper than ever before. I learned so much about the software and methods, from studying real world clothing patterns to the (shall we say) 'qwerks' of the button symulation.

We're really happy with the end result and could really see this being a great idea for further itterations of the character. Perhaps we'll work on placing him at an antilope murder scene in future, who knows?

Based on Giorgio's original artwork, I sculpted the Gator in A-pose within Zbrush, UV'd and rigged it in Maya, created the garments in Marvelous Designer, textured him in Substance Painter and finally rendered him in Arnold.

Hope you guys like the breakdown as much as I enjoyed creating him. I'd like to thank Giorgio for allowing me to adapt his brilliant artwork - link to his website is below. I'd strongly advise checking his stuff out.
